To Our EA Band and Guard Students, Parents and Families:
As our Band, Orchestra and Chorus prepare for the Music Department Trip to Toronto in early May 2012, I wanted to ensure that you have up-to-date information on payments, schedule and other requirements. I will send to you updates with additional information as it becomes available.
In today’s message, I want to provide for you cost and payment information.
Fortunately, enough students and parents have committed to go that will allow us to keep the total price of the trip at $760.00 as estimated.
Payments for the trip will be due on the following dates and in the following amounts:
December 1, 2011 -- $100.00
January 6, 2012 -- $200.00
February 3, 2012 -- $220.00
March 2, 2012 -- $240.00 (Remaining Balance Due)
Checks should be made out to East Allegheny High School. You should turn in these payments to Mr. Rosco, Mrs. Rosco or Mr. Ehrlich.
Student Accounts
Many students have already accumulated funds in their EA Band Student Account. These funds come from fundraising activities participated in by the student. Our Association has many fundraisers throughout the year that can help your student earn money toward the cost of the trip. The more you help in fundraising, the more you can earn in your account – maybe even as much to cover the entire trip!
If there is a balance in the student account, parents/guardians may request a transfer from the account to use to pay for some or all of your trip payments. I have attached and included below a form you can use to request this transfer. Please follow the instructions on the form, and you will receive your transfer as soon as possible.
Fundraising Opportunities
Hoagie Sales - Earn $3.05 for each hoagie sold.
Feb. Hoagies - Pick-up Thursday, Feb. 16 - 5-6pm EAHS
March Hoagies
Next Hoagie Sale - Orders and payment due on Thursday, February 23! Give orders to music teachers, Karen Humphrey (412-824-7816) or (412-527-3747) or put in band lock box by Feb. 23.
Delivery on Tuesday, March 6, 5-6pm at the EAHS.
Sarris Easter Candy - Brochures and Master Sheets have been given to Mr. Rosco, Mrs. Rosco, and Mr. Erlich. Profit is at least 25% of order. Master Sheets are due on February 29.
Raffle Tickets - Earn $1 for each ticket sold.

Ongoing - Sell a box of 32 - $1 bars or sell a box of 36 - $1 pretzels and earn $10 a box. Must pay upfront for bars or chocolate-covered pretzel rods.
